Her research interests include T cell and B cell cutaneous lymphoma, myeloid leukemia cutis, and mast cell disease. Robert Phelps is Professor of Dermatology and Pathology and Director of the Dermatopathology Service at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Phelps is extensively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, fellows and faculty and he has been with Mount Sinai since 1986.
His research interests include experimental models of skin disease, cutaneous oncology, and environmental skin disease. Phelps is an avid reader and also enjoys outdoor activities.
After studying medicine and pathology in Leiden, Amsterdam and London, and a period of several years as head of the Department of Pathology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Dr Mooi became the youngest Dutch pathologist to be appointed to a chair in Pathology, at the VU University Amsterdam.
He uses all these with pragmatic business-focused applications.
His special interest lies in emotional intelligence and, in particular, linking together the outputs from assessments to give real practical relevance to improve effectiveness and productivity. After obtaining her MD in Pathology from India, she came to Manchester UK, where she had further training and obtained her FRC Path.
